What's the most popular symbol of love? That's right, the heart. Why is the heart the symbol of love? Possibly because without the heart, we couldn't live. It's what keeps the body going, it's the most important part. That, I think is why the heart, is a symbol of love, because if you give it to someone, you are trusting/giving them your life.
