Christmas Coffee Cup Cozies - Penguins and Snowmen

I can't get enough!!! All these felties, and Christmas cozies! How much cuter could it get! :D
Handmade gifts are fun to make, sell, buy, and give. Simply knowing that someone took the time to sit down and make it, makes it all the more special. It's not factory made, it's handcrafted. Every stitch, sewn/crocheted with the hope that it will bring someone joy. :)

This Penguin Cozy turned out even cuter than I thought it would.

The Snowman Cozy = Adorable :D

New Colors!

Christmas Colors!!! :) I can't believe it's already time to think about the gifts you'll be giving out this year! I mean, we just had Christmas last week.... :| Oh wait... that was, 1, 2, 3, 10 months ago! Wow, doesn't time fly?! This Christmas help out your local businesses and the UnChina Made stores.

It's an idea. ;)

I thought I would make the traditional Christmas Colors to start  with. The Red, the green, and the white. These colors make me think of Christ. The Red is his blood, the Green is the tree he died on, and the white represents his purity, His sinless being. His perfect being. Let us all remember to keep Christ in  CHRISTmas. :)

I would love to know what your favorite Christmas colors are? What is your favorite Christmas tradition?

Don't forget about my coupon code. It ends on November 6th!

Ruffled Crochet Bookmarks

Do you love to read? There is nothing more relaxing or intriguing as picking up an old book -or any book- reading it, wondering who owned it, and smelling the smell of a bookstore within it's pages.

Last week, I bought some new yarn and a new hook. The yarn and the needle are both smaller than what I normally work with. It took some getting used too, but I found it pretty easy once I got the hang of it. When I pulled it out of my work basket, I didn't really know what I was going to make.... So.. I randomly started crocheting with it and this is what I came up with. :D
I liked them. But I wasn't sure if I would put them in my shop. When I told a friend this, she told me that I should... And so, Ladies and Gents, Here they be... :)

Surely you've fallen in love with it. ;-)

Autumn ~ The Loveliest Season

It's true, you wouldn't be able to change my opinion either. Autumn sunsets, the orange, red, and brown trees all mixed together, pumpkins, campfires, walks, the cool weather.... There is just something, romantic and whimsical about Autumn.

Autumn tends to inspire me. It inspires me to make everything in it's colors. It inspires me to put orange decorations up in September, with the anticipation that the world outside will soon be orange.

It inspires me to make scrubbies, in honor of it's colors.
Yellow, Orange, and Orange Brown.

It inspires me to make them in the traditional fall candy corn colors.

It Inspires me to crochet pumpkins..

In short Fall inspires me.
So, In honor of the autumn season, I ask you dear reader to:

Thank you for reading!

Cottage Chic Heart Scrubbies

What's the most popular symbol of love? That's right, the heart. Why is the heart the symbol of love? Possibly because without the heart, we couldn't live. It's what keeps the body going, it's the most important part. That, I think is why the heart, is a symbol of love, because if you give it to someone, you are trusting/giving them your life. Let these Little Heart Scrubbies, be a symbol of love in your home. (And let them bring love to that dreadful cleaning.) :D ;)

Find the Heart Scrubbies Here!!!

Made with love,
Petra
P.S. I  would love to know what you think. :)

Crocheted Scrubbies - my own pattern!

I  began Crocheting almost 9 years ago. I was ten, and had received a hook and some yarn from a friend. Upon receiving this gift, I immediately began. My friend Elisabeth, taught me how to chain and single crochet. After that, I began to teach  myself through crochet books, and also some guidance from my Mother. A few years later, a very dear, elderly lady helped me expand my crocheting abilities. She corrected me on some things I was doing at the time. Like holding my needle incorrectly. ;-) Over the years, I have made several things. But mostly for my own satisfaction. Now, I would like to share with you the things I make.

I'm not sure what gave me the idea for these scrubbies...It could have been the fact that I was needing one, and didn't know when I would be able to get one from town. No matter, I am only glad that the idea came to me and that I am able to share with you one of the simplest things in life. The enjoyment of having a new 100% cotton, fresh smelling, handmade scrubby! :D

Let me know what you think!
Thanks for Visiting!

Yellow Peasant Dress Size 5

Hello and Welcome to Treasures by Peachtree! I am looking forward to sharing all sorts of doll clothes, girl clothes, and crocheted goodies with you! I adore handmade things, and esp. things that are a little old fashioned looking. Like prairie dresses, and fun scrubbies!
Today I would like to share with you this sweet and adorable Girl's dress and matching doll dress. I first started making dresses, when my little sister was born. We are VERY picky in what we wear, which made it difficult to find the things we wanted in the stores. (We like extra girly stuff.) ;) That is when we decided we would start making dresses. And that is when I found out, that I love to sew.  It is also when I found out that I wanted to share my creations with everyone! Like you, dear reader. ;)

For this dress, I used 100% cotton. I just love cotton. It's light, it breathes,  and it's comfortable. My little sister loves it too.

This dress is so full, that it let's little girls sit Indian style, it covers them when they sit and they can run and climb with free movement.

The doll dress is very sweet looking. When I had hemmed and made it, I found it alot shorter than I wanted it.. So...  that gave me room to add a lace ruffle. I am pretty sure that made it all the sweeter. :)

Thanks for dropping by to see what I have made.
