Crochet Scrubbies // I Tried Something New

There is always something fun about changing/pairing colors. At least, I've always liked playing with putting the colors together. ;) Do you like this color combo? What color Combo's would you do?

This last week I had decided to write the pattern that I made for my scrubbies available to others. Yesterday, I sat down and made one, taking photos as I went for the pattern...then I laid it out and made it a pdf download! Never in my life would I have dreamed that it would take me so long! Anyway, enough rambling... :P It's now available if you want to make your own color combos for yourself or as a gift! They are easy to make and it's a great pattern for beginners! (link below) Enjoy!

Crochet Scrubbies // They're Back!

It's like Murphy's law. As soon as you take it out of your shop it's viewed lots of times! That's what made me decide to put them back in my shop. The views made me think that maybe people were wanting to have some again. Were you? were you wanting some again? Of course you were! :P You really, really, need some of these! They are excellent for washing off your make up and face! Not that we don't like to see your face, it's just that unless you don't have these your face won't be perfect!! Ok... so I'm not good at making sales speeches or giving people guilt trips into buying things. As you may have noticed. Lets not do that again... Movin' on! These scrubbies are the ones in my shop right now. They are used for washing your face and body, like I said above, or you can use them in the kitchen. That's all up to you. ;)

What colors would you like to see?
What would you use these scrubbies for?

I would love to know what you think I should make! What would you be interested in? Feel free to suggest! If you can, I would love to see a picture of your thoughts. (If you can). ;)

New Colors!

Christmas Colors!!! :) I can't believe it's already time to think about the gifts you'll be giving out this year! I mean, we just had Christmas last week.... :| Oh wait... that was, 1, 2, 3, 10 months ago! Wow, doesn't time fly?! This Christmas help out your local businesses and the UnChina Made stores.

It's an idea. ;)

I thought I would make the traditional Christmas Colors to start  with. The Red, the green, and the white. These colors make me think of Christ. The Red is his blood, the Green is the tree he died on, and the white represents his purity, His sinless being. His perfect being. Let us all remember to keep Christ in  CHRISTmas. :)

I would love to know what your favorite Christmas colors are? What is your favorite Christmas tradition?

Don't forget about my coupon code. It ends on November 6th!

Here is my opinion: (Drum roll, please) They are ADORABLE!!!!  Esp. that owl one. Yes. the owl one. It's my favorite. What do you think? Handmade cozy with felty owl.. Surely you've fallen in love with it. ;-)

My next favorite has to be this crocheted bubble stitched Candy Corn Cozy! The Bubble Stitch seems to give it more of a welcoming, cheery look, and.. well.. cozy. ;)

Autumn ~ The Loveliest Season

It's true, you wouldn't be able to change my opinion either. Autumn sunsets, the orange, red, and brown trees all mixed together, pumpkins, campfires, walks, the cool weather.... There is just something, romantic and whimsical about Autumn.

Autumn tends to inspire me. It inspires me to make everything in it's colors. It inspires me to put orange decorations up in September, with the anticipation that the world outside will soon be orange.

It inspires me to make scrubbies, in honor of it's colors.
Yellow, Orange, and Orange Brown.

It inspires me to make them in the traditional fall candy corn colors.

It Inspires me to crochet pumpkins..

In short Fall inspires me.
So, In honor of the autumn season, I ask you dear reader to:

Thank you for reading!

Crocheted Scrubbies - my own pattern!

I  began Crocheting almost 9 years ago. I was ten, and had received a hook and some yarn from a friend. Upon receiving this gift, I immediately began. My friend Elisabeth, taught me how to chain and single crochet. After that, I began to teach  myself through crochet books, and also some guidance from my Mother. A few years later, a very dear, elderly lady helped me expand my crocheting abilities. She corrected me on some things I was doing at the time. Like holding my needle incorrectly. ;-) Over the years, I have made several things. But mostly for my own satisfaction. Now, I would like to share with you the things I make.

I'm not sure what gave me the idea for these scrubbies...It could have been the fact that I was needing one, and didn't know when I would be able to get one from town. No matter, I am only glad that the idea came to me and that I am able to share with you one of the simplest things in life. The enjoyment of having a new 100% cotton, fresh smelling, handmade scrubby! :D

Let me know what you think!
Thanks for Visiting!
